In The Last Droids, you are an Ecomechanic, a sort of robot repairman in a New World, a world of depleted natural resources. Your goal: to help humanity survive by repairing, recycling or constructing pieces of robots from the Old World. You have to select the best droid wrecks, manage your resources and build the most efficient collection!
Every turn, you draw 2 droids cards and then choose which droid to give to your opponent, and which to keep. Then, you choose to recycle or repair your Droid, or to sacrifice it to build a House. There are 7 types of droids cards, each with unique abilities: water management, harvest, communication, collection, market, shed or house.
The game is made of seasons of 8 turns and it finishes after 3 seasons. At the end of the third season, or when all the House Droids have been built, the Ecomechanic with the most Recycling Points is granted the Medal of the Order of the Leaf, the ultimate distinction.

V igri Zadnji droidi ste ekomehanik, nekakšen serviser robotov v Novem svetu, svetu izčrpanih naravnih virov. Vaš cilj: pomagati človeštvu preživeti s popravljanjem, recikliranjem ali izdelavo delov robotov iz Starega sveta. Izbrati morate najboljše razbitine droidov, upravljati z viri in sestaviti najučinkovitejšo zbirko!
Vsako potezo izvlečete 2 karti droidov in nato izberete, katerega boste dali nasprotniku in katerega boste obdržali. Nato se odločite, ali boste svojega droida reciklirali ali popravili ali pa ga žrtvovali za gradnjo hiše. Obstaja 7 vrst kart droidov, vsaka z edinstvenimi sposobnostmi: upravljanje vode, žetev, komunikacija, zbiranje, tržnica, lopa ali hiša.
Igra je sestavljena iz sezon z 8 potezami in se konča po 3 sezonah. Ob koncu tretje sezone oziroma ko so vsi hišni droidi zgrajeni, ekomehanik z največ točkami recikliranja prejme medaljo Reda lista, najvišje odlikovanje.
