A spectacular duel unfolds deep beneath the earth. You take turns sending out mighty dragons to conquer territories. But place them wisely! If your beasts grow too powerful, they'll turn on each other, and you could lose everything.
Dragon Overload is a card game for two, part of our 2026 Summer of Games.
You compete to send your dragons into five landscapes and gain majority there. Each zone is associated with a specific family of dragons and can hold only a limited number of cards.
How does it work? On your turn, you select one of your cards and place it in one of the available slot on your side of the board. Your opponent gets the card from the pile of the chosen area, and he then plays one of his cards. And so on…
The game is based on a territory-control mechanism, but accumulating power isn't necessarily the best strategy. If the strength of your dragons reaches at least twice that of your opponent’s in a zone, your creatures become uncontrollable and you automatically lose that territory. This rule turns your duels into an exercise in balance and anticipation.
Dragon Overload incorporates an element of bluffing thanks to the possibility to play up to three cards face down. Incomplete information forces your opponent to interpret your intentions while protecting their own plans.
The game ends when one player controls all five territories, when an opponent can no longer perform a valid action, or when all zones are filled. The player with the most territory at that point wins.

Tekmujete, da pošljete svoje zmaje v pet pokrajin in tam pridobite večino. Vsaka cona je povezana z določeno družino zmajev in lahko vsebuje le omejeno število kart.
Kako deluje? Ko si na vrsti, izbereš eno od svojih kart in jo položiš v eno od prostih rež na svoji strani igralne plošče. Nasprotnik vzame karto s kupa izbranega območja in nato odigra eno od svojih kart. In tako naprej ...
Igra temelji na mehanizmu nadzora ozemlja, vendar kopičenje moči ni nujno najboljša strategija. Če moč vaših zmajev v določenem območju doseže vsaj dvakrat večjo moč od moči nasprotnika, vaša bitja postanejo neobvladljiva in samodejno izgubite to ozemlje. To pravilo spremeni vaše dvoboje v vajo ravnotežja in predvidevanja.
Zmajeva preobremenitev vključuje element blefiranja, saj lahko igrate do tri karte z licem navzdol. Nepopolne informacije prisilijo nasprotnika, da interpretira vaše namere, hkrati pa zaščiti svoje načrte.
Igra se konča, ko en igralec nadzoruje vseh pet ozemelj, ko nasprotnik ne more več izvesti veljavne akcije ali ko so vsa območja zasedena. Zmaga igralec z največ ozemlja v tistem trenutku.
